Clinical data: 23 year old man with a testicular tumor.
Frozen section diagnosis: Malignant germ cell tumor. Embryonal carcinoma
teratoma with giant cells (left).
Pathology and comment: For frozen section puposes confirmation of malignancy
is required. Diagnostic details are not needed in the most of the cases.
DD: Inflammatory processes (granulomas), epidermoid cysts, Leydig cell tumors. Other rare bening tumors.
