Case #15
Clinical data: 31 year old woman with a mesenteric tumor. Dignity?
Frozen section diagnosis: Probably cystic lymphagioma. No malignancy.
Pathology and comment: At macroscopy we found a yellow cystic tumor with
a milky yellow-white fluid. Frozen section exhibited a cyst with thin fibrotic
wall and small infiltrates of lymphoid cells. No epithelia could be demonstrated
on the inner surface. Therefore the above diagnosis was made and confirmed on
routine histology.
DD: Mesenteric cyst, cystic fat necrosis.
