Case #11
Clinical data: Ascites. Stomach carcinoma of signet ring cell type of a 35 year old female patient. Frozen section diagnosis: Of course no frozen section but quick PAS (see methods). Strong inflammatory reaction with granulocytes and lymphocytes. Small atypical cell groups with PAS positive cytoplasm. Signet ring cells. Pathology and comment: It is really not a frozen section diagnosis. We carried out the reaction to shorten the staining procedure.
